Club Monaco
Club Monaco was founded in 1985 around the idea of “better basics” — creating classic, effortless pieces that contribute to the lives of our customers and allow them to live with ease.
We searched for these pieces in the beginning, but we couldn’t find them. So, we made them ourselves, inspired by a swatch named Monaco and a goal of creating clear, confident, modern essentials that punch above their weight.
Club Monaco opened their first store (with lines around the block) on Queen Street West in Toronto. From there, we broadened our collection, embraced our community, and moved to New York.
Through it all, our love of the details —the texture, form, fabric, design—has never gone away. All of this allows us to experiment thoughtfully—the mark of true style. From this, our promise was born; experiment thoughtfully so you are confidently inspired—creating a Club where all are welcome to grow and evolve their style.
