Ramapo Valley County Reservation
The Ramapo Valley County Reservation is a 4,000 acre county park located in Mahwah, New Jersey bordering Ringwood State Park to the north and the Ramapo Mountain State Forest to the south.
Visitors can hike the hills and valleys, enjoy the Ramapo River and several ponds, and admire the vibrant ecosystem.
Ramapo Valley County Reservation is Bergen County’s largest park area and is located on the edge of the Highlands region. Hiking and camping are available. Several tent campsites are situated around Scarlet Oak Pond. Tent camping is allowed in designated areas only.
