At Violante & Son, we offer a wide variety of meat and poultry, which our butchers prepare with time-honored methods.  Our products are also fully traceable and extremely cost-effective.

We know our food. As a second-generation family-owned and operated specialty shop, all of our products are store-made and hand-cut.

Errico Violante started as a butcher’s apprentice at the age of 14 in a small town outside of Naples, Italy. His days started early, working on a local farm, and ended in the local butcher shop. Every day after school, he learned this age-old trade, rich in tradition and pride.

Almost 20 years, and 3000 miles, later he realized a dream of opening a store of his own. The Violante family continues the family tradition still delivering high-quality products to our local community.

As Errico headed into a well-deserved retirement, his son Anthony started construction on his own store in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. After ten months of hard work, Violante & Son opened on October 3, 2019. Violante & Son continues as a family-owned butcher delivering high-quality products to the local community.
