At Prickocereus, nothing is imported and flipped; we grow what we sell here. Grown out for a few years in our tiny SoCal garden. No commercial space, No six figure investors, just our family home with a backyard, kids, dogs and the occasional squirrel.

Growing unique plants in Pomona, California. Collectable columnar cactus, Echinopsis, Trichocereus, and other oddities.

Echinopsis/Tricho cactus are well known for their big beautiful flowers at maturity. These plants will usually get to that place at 4-8 feet and specific growing conditions. Highly collectible for their looks, shape, and color, they make wonderful potted plants and landscaping plants.

These ornamental plants are grown outdoors in full Southern California sun, no shadecloth, no greenhouse.. They are healthy but some have some blemishes and marks maybe evidence of old pests even. We do our best to keep them healthy. I’ve recently knocked it down with an insecticide and fungicide. Plants sent unpotted or bare root when dry.

Cuttings – Our cactus come in cut to order sizes that would root well on their own. We do our best to make specimen sized cuts, so you can start with a nice large piece of our favorite plants. These are direct from the garden and mailed to you.

Seed Grown – As you know, we like to grow most of our plants from seed. Thousands of little cactus babies germinated in our grow room (it’s a garage, don’t be fooled), then brought out to our garden outdoors to brave the full SoCal sun. #sownnotflown is our mantra.

Seed Packs – We spend late nights in the garden hand pollinating the different cactus we have here. When we are successful with our cross pollination, we produce fruit that ripens to the point of producing viable seed that can be sown on your own. Please see our seed packet varieties in bundles of 3, 6, and 10 packs.

Apparel – We like to wear all the different shirts on a regular basis from our favorite growers. I hope you can find one here that you like. We have some amazing artists featured to create these pieces, and some of them are from our very own kids, Benjamin and Saige =) Our in house illustrators.

Shipping is typically the beginning of the week with USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise noted. Please order a 96 hour heatpack as you see fit with cold temperatures. I prefer to use and reuse packaging material, so don’t be surprised if you see my newspaper or my children’s homework. Even my boxes and tape are compostable, so do what you can. Tags are in the bags / packaging so don’t miss them! Open carefully from the top, don’t dump the contents.. Oh yea don’t get pricked!

Refunds and returns to Prickocereus are entirely at our discretion and must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the order by contacting us. Refunds and returns will generally only be accepted for one of the following reasons: a product arrives dead or severely damaged, you receive an incorrect product, or your order is lost during shipping. These plants have spines and can be harmful if not handled correctly out of the box. We will not be held liable for any ouchies. Please be careful, we got pricks!
