Highland Lakes State Park
Visitors to Highland Lakes State Park use the area for fishing, hiking, horseback riding and flying model planes. The park is undeveloped. There are no toilets. There is limited parking.
Highland Lakes State Park consists of more than 3,000 acres of undeveloped woods and lakes in Orange County.
Highland Lakes Park is open 7 days a week from 6 AM – 6 PM.
Bridle Path by permit only. Dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet long. Visitors are not allowed in buildings, picnic/bathing areas or on walkways. Horses are allowed with permit only. The permits are issued at the Minnewaska State Park office.
