Fortunato Brothers
Fortunato Bros. Cafe & Pasticceria was founded in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood in 1976 by three recent immigrants from Naples, Italy: Salvatore, Mario, and Michael Fortunato. They brought over their classic old-world recipes for Italian cookies, biscotti, cakes, and pastries including cannoli and sfogliatelle, and the bakery quickly became a beloved neighborhood fixture. The brothers can still be found sipping cappuccino at the shop today, and they’ve handed the reins to their children to bring their legacy into the future.

Each of Fortunato’s baked goods are still made according to the original recipes, made by hand from scratch with only the highest-quality ingredients. They’ve also made some modern additions to the menu, like the now-famous Rainbow Cookie Cake. Fortunato Bros. is a true classic, and now it’s shipping nationwide!
In October of 1976, the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn inherited a great gift, when three brothers from Italy decided to open a bakery shop that would sell authentic Italian pastries. Over 45 years later, Fortunato Brothers has become a neighborhood landmark, celebrated for it fine pastry, cookies, cappuccino, cakes, and gelato. Although Williamsburg has changed over the years, customers can count on Fortunato’s to be the same in quality, style and service. With the same original recipes passed down to the next generation.
