Kabir Singh

Kabir Singh

Born in Portland to Indian parents, Kabir Singh learned to use comedy in the face of adversity at an early age. When he was nine years old, he briefly moved back to Bombay and learned how to make people laugh in no less than three languages.

As a comedian, he has been featured on Comedy Central’s “Stand Up Revolution,” “Family Guy,” Starz and Amazon Prime.

Kabir passed away on December 4, 2024 at the age of 39.

Born in 1984 in Portland, Oregon to stereotypical Indian parents, Kabir Singh realized at an early age that it wouldn’t be easy making friends at school. Luckily for Kabir, he soon became known as the funniest Indian kid in Oregon – not too difficult considering he was the only Indian kid in Oregon. When he was nine, his family moved to Bombay, India where he was bullied and teased for being American which taught him how to make people laugh in no less than three languages. At 13, Kabir moved back to the US where he was made fun of for being Indian!

Kabir cleverly delivers his life experiences and the culture clashes of being an Indian American in America.

Fresh off his “Comedy Central” Debut on the hit comedy show “Gabriel Iglesias’s Stand-Up Revolution”, and his work on the hit Fox TV show “The Family Guy”, “Kabir is a high-energy, crowd-pleasing comic with an in-your-face attitude and razor-sharp wit, Kabeezy’s won numerous comedy competitions, including winning the 2014 “SF International Comedy Competition” by coming in first place in all 5 shows in the Final Round which was the first time that has happened in it’s rich 39 year history!

His YouTube Dry Bar Special, “Stay Single”, has been one of the best-reviewed Comedy Specials on the platform with over 3 Million views.

Not only has Kabir enjoyed success in America, but he has done damage in the UK and Asia as well headlining 7 sold out shows all through the U.K and 4 in India on his 14 city International Tour in late 2015. Kabir Singh’s stand up has been featured internationally on the “BBC Network”, “TV Asia” and ” ZEE TV”.
