The clothes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday weren’t the most exciting cluster of dresses we’ve seen in our lives, but there were politicians and all kinds of important folk in the room so we can’t expect a couture extravaganza. Even so, that doesn’t mean the clothes don’t warrant judgment. For there were some interesting pieces — like Barbara Walters’s dress, which was the very same dress she wore to the Time 100 Gala on Tuesday last week.

Charges have been pressed against Kiefer Sutherland following his alleged head-butting of Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough’s face at a Met Gala after-party. But before McCollough can return to designing clothes, he must get surgery. His rep says he broke his nose in three places as a result of the incident.

Michelle Obama celebrated Cinco de Mayo yesterday in argyle. Today, for a Cinco de Mayo event in the White House, she wore a dress roughly the color of the margaritas you’ll (hopefully) be drinking in a few minutes. But who cares about that when, after that function, MObama jetted to New York! Wearing a different dress! It’s the same dress she wore the morning after the inauguration .

The design issue of New York , out today, features a look at Jason Wu ‘s one-bedroom apartment. Though he ordered a pepperoni pizza from Domino’s the night of the inauguration, and almost dropped it when he turned away from the delivery man and saw Michelle wearing his white one-shoulder creation, he likes to unwind by cooking for himself.
