The Fab Faux are without a doubt the most musically satisfying Beatles tribute band on the scene today. Boasting the high visibility of TV star/musicians Will Lee from The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Vivino from Late Night with Conan O’Brien; five strong lead vocalists (including Rich Pagano, Frank Agnello, Jack Petruzzelli) and a commitment to the accurate reproduction of The Beatles’ repertoire; this is the band to see if you want to know what it might have been like if The Beatles toured behind their later albums (with a healthy portion of the early guitar-based stuff that most tribute bands play.) Imagine hearing complex material like “Strawberry Fields Forever”, “I Am the Walrus”, and “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite”, performed in complete part-perfect renditions; or such harmony-driven songs as “Because”, “Nowhere Man”, and “Paperback Writer”, reproduced not only note-for-note, but with extra vocalists available to achieve a double-tracked effect!

SummerStage is pleased to welcome back Comedy Central for their fourth annual free comedy program. This show will feature stand-up performances by correspondents and friends of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart including Rory Albanese, John Oliver, Rob Riggle and more.

Lewis Black has performed his caustic, cranky, bile-spewing, dead-on social and political comedy throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. As “America’s Foremost Commentator on Everything,” he is a weekly political commentator on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and has starred in comedy specials for the network.

Taste what Hell’s Kitchen is cooking at this annual food festival, where restaurants and outdoor vendors serve up food to suit every taste. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Oprah Magazine, the Queen of Talk will join thousands of New Yorkers and celebrity guests on Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 9th) for a walk that will raise critical funds for non-profits nationwide

The walk will begin along the shores of the scenic Hudson River, at Pier 94, and will culminate in the heart of New York City’s Times Square. NYRP will use all funds raised to continue our mission of cleaning and greening NYC. Special guests scheduled to appear and support this momentous event include NYRP Founder Bette Midler and her daughter Sophie; singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige; Twilight actress Rachelle Lefevre; Food Network Celebrity Chef Aaron McCargo, Jr. and more!

Join JetBlue Airways and MillionTreesNYC in doing “one thing that’s green” this April by planting hundreds of trees in Queens, New York. As part of NYRP’s Put Down Roots campaign, this volunteer event will bring together New Yorkers to plant trees on homeowners’ yards.

Launched this spring, Put Down Roots engages New York City homeowners in greening their entire neighborhoods by first encouraging them to plant trees in their own front and backyards and then inspiring them to spread these green roots throughout their communities.

Since 2001, the Tribeca Film Festival has been lighting up lower Manhattan with its sharply curated mix of films, often accompanied by Q&A sessions with directors, cast and crew. Symphony Space is an Upper West Side cultural center that brings artists and audiences together though an array of literary, film and performing-arts events. The stately facility features two theaters whose calendar of music, theater, readings, films and other events can only be described as diverse. Past performances have included tributes to legends like Duke Ellington and the Beatles, concerts by new artists such as Sufjan Stevens and Milk and Jade, and dramatic readings from authors like Stephen King and Stephen Colbert.
